Oregon Diminished Value

So your car has been repaired and now you're left with a heap that is worth less after repairs. Sometimes cars cannot be repaired to pre loss condition, and even after good repairs they will still be worth less after repair. That's where diminished value comes in. The idea is that the car is not worth as much because it has been damaged and repaired, and buyers will look elsewhere or pay less for this car rather than other cars. Typically, diminished value claims involve late model cars with frame damage, although that is not necessarily required as long as you can prove the car diminished in value because of the collision.
